The safety load isolator incorporated in the unique lifting eye mechanism combined with our patented ‘Safety Shim’ means that Safe just got Safer.
How easy is it to use?
The Ultralift Plus™ is so simple to use, it functions
under the
same principles as the Ultralift. Once the ‘Safety Shim’
test has
been completed you simply lower the Ultralift Plus™ onto
the
work piece, then by depressing the button on the safety handle
(like a car handbrake) the handle can be turned through 120º
until
it locks under the safety catch - the component can now be lifted.
At this stage the Lifting Eye is under tension, activating
the
operating handle isolator, guaranteeing the load cannot be dropped
by accidental switching.

Question: How can I ensure a safe lift - guaranteed every time?
Answer: Simple ... use the Safety Shim to perform a quick pre-test
Lower the Ultralift Magnet
on the "Safety Shim" so that it is sandwiched between
the component and the lifting magnet.
- Turn on magnet on and lift component
20mm ( 3/4") from the ground- if it doesn't lift, then the
component is too heavy for the lifter. Try again with a larger
capacity lifter or if the component is long or thins - 2 lifters
and a spreader beam.
- Lower the component back on
the ground & turn the magnet off
- Remove the "Safety Shim"
- Put the Ultralift Magnet directly
onto the component and turn the magnet on
- Lift the component with the
required safety factor - guaranteed.
The above exercise introduces
specific air-gap for the test lift, that ensures that once it
is removed ... the required safety factor exists.
This technique is a fast and foolproof
pre-test that will guarantee safety irrespective of unknown weights,
poor surface condition, thinner sections etc.
