The Type LR can be used for connecting steelwork in any Girder
Clamp or similar assembly with standard or high strength bolts.
The Type LRs provide a wide range of adjustments for flange
thickness where this cannot easily be measured prior to installation.
They are also suitable for rails and steelwork with sloping flanges
above 4°. The separate saddle adjusts to provide a flat location
for the bolt head or nut.
The extra length of the clamp requires the use of larger Location
Plates to support the tail.
Long Packings are required for flange
thickness beyond the range of adjustment.
