Health Hazard Data
Symptoms of overexposure: Headache, Dizziness, Nausea,
Coughing, Eye, Throat and Skin Irritation.
Effects of overexposure: Slight to severe irritation
to eyes and mucous membranes.
Dermatitis.
Affects central nervous system.Persons with kidney impairment
or disease should not work with Dibutyl Phthalate,(overexposure
not likely unless ingested). High concentrations and /or prolonged
overexposure can be damaging to gastro-intestinalsystem, respiratory
system, central nervous system, kidneys, liver, and can cause
visual disturbences including corneal damage. (Based on liquid
forms of 2 Butoxy Ethanol and Dibutyl phthalate{ ingestion} .
Emergency first aid: Inhalation; seek fresh
air. Give artificial respiration
if not breathing.
Skin contact; Wash with soap and water. Ingestion; Call Physician.
