When misaligned machinery is allowed to operate uncorrected, the resulting vibration will eventually cause bearing, shaft, seal and coupling failures. Your company loses two ways: first in the outlay of funds to repair or replace the machinery, and, more importantly, you lose productivity and income every hour the machine is down.
Peterson Alignment tools utilize the Rim and Face Method of Shaft Alignment, far and away the most common method - more accurate than straight edge or magnetic base systems and much less expensive than laser alignment tools.
Developed for smaller equipment where space is at a premium, the model #20RA alignment system comes with every component necessary to align machinery with shaft sizes from 3/4" to 4" in diameter. The alignment frames are precision milled from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum.

Table Definitions: Minimum Swing Radius The minimum distance from the mounted surface to the base plate of the equipment. Allows for full rotation of the shaft and coupling assembly with the alignment tool mounted. Shaft Accommodations The diameter of shaft, from smallest to largest that this kit can be used on. Frame Width The thickness of the alignment frame. Radial Clearance The maximum distance(s) from the mounted surface to the underside of the 1/2" diameter tubing used to span the coupling.
