SA80 Chassis Reamers
Don't Use a Drill to Enlarge a Hole, Use a Reamer!
Get the " Hole Story" with SA80 Reamers!
Twist drills are designed exclusively to create new holes by
cutting from the chisel point (center of the point) outward.
This distributes the load evenly along the cutting lips.
When a drill is used to ream, too much stress is focused at the
outer cutting lips, resulting in chipped or broken drills.
DRILLS vs. REAMERS
SA80 chassis reamers, in contrast, don't chip because they
are engineered only to enlarge holes.
Their narrow point effortlessly fits into small holes, which enables
the sides of the reamer to begin cutting.
Cutting is quick and efficient because each reamer has five cutting
edges to do the work.
Performance is further enhanced by way of a 30 left hand helix,
which safely disposes chips forward, away from user.
The SA80's collar provides a safety stop by prevent-ing over-penetration.
