The QUADSYSTEM magnetic chucks are the revolutionary proposal of TECNOMAGNETE for all machining operations on milling machines and machining centres. They get easily installed on any type of machine, they don't overheat and being insensitive to any possible electrical break-down, they are intrinsically safe.
The "electro-permanent" patented technology used requires the electrical feeding only for few seconds to energize and de-energize the magnetic field, then the connection can be removed while the chuck will keep the workpiece safely clamped. The workpiece is totally free for the full machining on 5 faces in a single set-up.
High Quality The absence of machining vibrations allows QUADSYSTEM to grant high accuracy, to increase the life of the tools and the machine itself. Largest workpieces can be fitted on the machine table thus exploiting at the best all the machine capacities.
The original patented self-shimming system, composed of some mobile pole extensions, make it possible to drastically reduce the set-up times even with workpieces having warped surface.
A QUADSYSTEM is featured by a combination of reversible magnets (blue) on the base of each magnetic poles + "power" magnets (red), surrounding the poles (yellow). This structure generates a working surface creating a multiple magnetic stitching, thus granting a perfect clamping of any workpiece. The double reversible magnet characteristic allows the QUADSYSTEM chuck to move the internal magnetic field outside, thus activating the working surface.
DEMAG phase- "OFF" position During the DEMAG phase the magnetic flux is short-circuited inside the chuck. No residual magnetism is present on the chuck surface. Zero power consumption.
ON/OFF procedure With the simple touch of a button is possible to energize (MAG PHASE) and de-energize (DEMAG PHASE) the magnetic field. After this operation, the connection can be removed and the electrical supply is no more used.
RAPID With the simple motion of a lever, the magnetism lifts, transports and releases the load with extreme rapidity, needing only a single operator. It does not compress or deform the load, rather, it allows plenty of motion even with limited spaces.
SAFE Once activated, a spring-loaded device blocks the maneuvering lever, thus preventing any possible accidental deactivation. The technique defined as neutral crown will not permit interference with the original state of the permanent magnets, thus allowing to obtain maximum results in terms of safety and reliability. This technology also allows to mantain an exceptional concentration of magnetic energy exactly within the work field, thus ensuring a good hold on both a finished and unfinished parts.
ECONOMIC The Tecnomagnete manual lifters are based on the technology of permanent magnets, therefore do not need electrical feeding. They are resistant to usage: the only movable component present is a rotor which is centered on ball bearings. This in turn develops neither physical contacts nor any friction during the rotation phase. Within normal working conditions they can be "maintenance free" over a long period of time.
